Sichuan Fine Arts Institute is the only higher art institution in the southwest region, with a history of 70 years. In 1950, some of the backbone of the Art College of Northwest Military and Political University, led by Marshal Ye Long, moved south to Huangjueping, Jiulongpo, Chongqing to establish the Southwest People’s Art Institute. In 1953, the two schools merged to form the Southwest Art College. In 1959, the Southwest Art College was renamed Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, and the development of contemporary art opened its first door through Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. This exhibition will present and narrate the works and stories of the 77-85 academic years.
