What is the meaning of “contemporary art”? How should scholars define “ink art”?  People have different opinions on these matters. This exhibition attempts to present all forms of ink art which reflects contemporary art scenes. By using the idea of Mandala, the exhibition can be divided into four sections: form, mind, void, and space.  And the development of the contemporary ink art is analyzed through four areas of Material, Spiritual, Realism/Abstract, and Space.  The center of the area or center of the Mandala is Chi, which means the energy of the universe.  It is the stage of experimental art for the young artists.  It shows the point of view and subjectiveness of the new generation and Southern ink art.  The exhibition not only posts questions about the ideas of contemporary ink art, but also becomes a platform for cross-boundary and multimedia ideologies; moreover, the exhibition will spark the possibilities of the future contemporary ink art.
