When an architect designs an artist studio, he/she needs to take the unique temperament of the artist into great consideration.  Architect brainstorming with the artist to create something more than brick and concrete, but also an art piece.  The studio becomes more than a space, but also an artist’s characters.

Duoling He’s studio shows the above statement which Duoling He’s character is frank and emotional, truthful and well retrained.   It is like walking inside a painting when one is in the studio.  It leads the person into light and dark; the exterior wall is like frames of a painting, which encloses all the details of the motley colors and reserves it, freeze-frame it slowly, with time.  But the studio is not designed to be a besieged fortress.  It breaks the mold and connects the interior and exterior, connects the inside and outside, connects the light and dark.  Walk around it and live inside it is like looking at Duo Ling He’s artworks, poetic, philosophical and full of oriental elements.

A person can discover existence and emptiness, material and spiritual, and outside and inside within the studio and the artist creation.  Moreover, a person can find poetic language, philosophical and acute sense of artistry in both the artist and studio.
