The second exhibition of “Between Us” Series

Luo Zhongli, an outstanding artist in China, was named “Millet of China” by Mr. Wang Feng, late president of China Artists Association. He has never stopped further exploring since he won the first prize with Father in National Art Exhibition in early 1980s, showing us a real artist’s persistent pursuit in the unusual process of Chinese contemporary art. Inheriting his father, Luo Dan graduated from Oil Paintings Department of China Academy of Fine Arts, yet his style differs greatly from his father’s. He employs bright colors, vivid impressions, exaggerated perspective and dramatic effect to reflect the common themes in reality in his paintings, making which full of the spirit of times.

Father and son have different pursuit in art world, yet mutually influential and promoting. Most of the artworks shown in this exhibition are newly created by Luo Zhongli and Luo Dan, embodying their painstaking efforts for many years and persistence in pursuit of art. “Blue comes from the indigo plant but is bluer than the plant itself”. Wish them a greater success in future!
