The Joy of Collecting Art:Lin MingChe’s Art Collection will feature the art collection of Lin MingChe, the well-known Chinese collector, Chairman of Mountain Arts, Culture and Education Foundation. He has been devoted to his life collecting art for more than four decades. 250 pieces of the art works among thousands will be exhibited.

The purpose of the exhibition is to documenting and presenting Taiwan economic advancement and art educational development. Furthermore, it exhibits the changes in Taiwan art, social, culture and its achievement.

The works present the diversification of Taiwan art culture. Under the influence of early colonization of Japan and Europe, impact of American cultural, and emerge of Chinese contemporary art scene, Taiwan art development goes from compromising to embracing the diversification of different culture and art form.

The exhibition shows the development of representative classical paintings to western modern paintings. It also explores the relationship between Taiwanese and Chinese art. Further it systematically presents the overall history, progress and relationship of Taiwan, Chinese and western art scene in a diversified viewpoint.
