The young artists of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts have attracted much attention in today's contemporary art scene. Social concern and personal awareness are their primary interest. These artists who were born in the 1970s and 1980s have not only inherited the techniques of the predecessors but also created their own languages.

Artists from Luxun Academy have been known for their appreciation of traditional art form. With the environment which is relatively simple and closed, young artists from that area are more absorbed in their own ideas and emotions rather than pursuing what’s more salable in the industry. This explains why they're willing to devote great amount of time and energy to perfect their work and shape their distinct styles.

With their techniques and ideas, these young artists from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts challenge this developing society and try to present the conflicts around us in today's China. In the coming future, their work would surely become a new trend in the contemporary art world.
